Rajveer Diler, a sitting BJP Member of Parliament from the Hathras Lok Sabha seat, passed away following a heart attack. The entire district is immersed in grief upon the news of his demise, which occurred during treatment at Aligarh's Varun Hospital. Rajveer Singh Diler had been reportedly ill for several days. His sudden death is a significant loss to the BJP. Diler had successfully contested the Lok Sabha elections in 2019 on a BJP ticket and was a respected figure in Parliament.
Rajveer Singh Diler's father, Kishan Lal Diler, was also a four-time MP from Hathras, holding the seat continuously from 1996 to 2004. Both father and son had a deep connection to the Hathras constituency.
Did Not Receive Party Candidature This Time
It should be noted that the BJP had not given Rajveer Diler a ticket for the upcoming 2024 elections. Anoop Valmiki was fielded in his place for the Hathras seat. Despite being a strong contender, the denial of a ticket had been a source of concern for him. It's worth mentioning that before becoming an MP, Diler had also served as an MLA for Aligarh's Iglas assembly in 2017. While serving as an MLA, he contested and won in the parliamentary elections.
PM Modi, CM Yogi Express Condolences
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Home Minister Amit Shah have all expressed their condolences upon the untimely passing of Rajveer Singh Diler. PM Modi's tweet read: 'Deeply saddened by the untimely demise of BJP MP from Hathras Lok Sabha seat, Rajveer Singh Diler Ji. His departure is a huge loss for the party. He will always be remembered for his ground-level work. I pray for strength for his family to endure this immense pain. Om Shanti.'
Similarly, CM Yogi Adityanath said he is deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Rajveer Singh Diler. Expressing his sympathy for Diler's grieving family, the Chief Minister said Diler's death is a personal loss for him and prayed for the peace of the departed soul.
Home Minister Amit Shah stated, 'Saddened by the sudden demise of BJP MP from Hathras (Uttar Pradesh), Rajveer Diler Ji. He was dedicated to public service and the organization throughout his life. His death is an irreparable loss to the local community and the BJP family. My condolences to his bereaved family and supporters. May Lord Ram grant the departed soul a place at his holy feet.
