Fadnavis to Contest from Nagpur Southwest, Bawankule from Kamthi in BJP's First List for Maharashtra Elections

BJP releases its first candidate list for Maharashtra elections with 99 names. Voting on November 20; results on November 23.

BJP has unveiled its first candidate list for the Maharashtra Assembly elections, featuring 99 candidates. Devendra Fadnavis will contest from Nagpur Southwest, while state BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule is set for the Kamthi seat. Additionally, Nitish Narayan Rane will represent the Kankavli seat and Ram Kadam is nominated from Ghatkopar West.

Voting for Maharashtra's 288 assembly seats will occur on November 20, with results declared on November 23. The Maha-Yuti alliance, comprising BJP, Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), and NCP (Ajit faction), is contesting the election. After extensive seat-sharing discussions, BJP has released its initial candidate list today.

Rajesh Udesingh Padvi has been nominated for the Shahada assembly seat, Vijaykumar Krushnrao Gavit for Nandurbar, Anup Agarwal for Dhule City, Jaykumar Jitendra Singh Rawal for Sindkheda, Kashiram Vechan Pawara for Shirpur, Amol Jawale for Raver, Sanjay Vaman Saukhare for Bhusawal, Suresh Damu Bhole for Jalgaon City, Mangesh Ramesh Chavan for Chalisgaon, Girish Dattatreya Mahajan for Jamner, Shweta Vidhyadhar Mahale for Chikhali, Akash Pandurang Fundkar for Khamgaon, Sanjay Shriram Kute for Jalgaon (Jamod), Randhir Pralhaadarav Savarkar for Akola East, Pratap Janardhan for Dhamangaon Railway, and Pravin Tayde for Achalpur.
