In Mokama's Ghosswari police area, in the village of Tartaar, Dularchand Yadav, a Jan Suraj supporter, was shot and killed. As per police reports, the assailants first shot him in the leg and then ran over him with a vehicle. The motive is believed to be electoral rivalry, given that Dularchand Yadav had contested elections from Mokama assembly seat in the past.
This incident rocked the area, and political blame games ensued following the murder. The deceased's grandson accused JDU candidate Anant Singh of orchestrating the murder, while Anant Singh blamed another candidate, Surajbhan Singh, for the incident.
In the aftermath of Dularchand Yadav's murder and subsequent violent protests, an FIR was registered at Pandarak police station. This complaint was filed by RJD candidate Veena Devi's supporters, alleging an attack on her convoy during the funeral procession in the Pandarak area, with damage to several vehicles. Accused individuals include Sumit, Sonu, and Golu.
During Dularchand Yadav's funeral procession, melee broke out near Pandarak bazaar, with stones pelted, vehicles vandalized, and scuffles breaking out. Amidst this chaos, Veena Devi's supporters’ convoy became a target, and the situation slipped out of control despite police presence.
