A startling revelation has emerged from Mithilesh Kumar, a fake IPS officer arrested in Jamui, Bihar. Mithilesh disclosed that a man named Manoj Singh took 200,000 rupees, measured him for an IPS uniform, and handed over an IPS badge and a fake pistol, declaring, 'Now, you're an IPS officer.' With this new identity, Mithilesh took a motorbike worth 200,000 rupees, a dowry gift, returned home, and received blessings from his mother. However, his charade ended the next day when the police apprehended him.

The Deceptive Journey of 19-Year-Old Mithilesh

Mithilesh Kumar, from Govardhan Bigha village in the Halsi police station area of Lakhisarai district, narrated how a man named Manoj Singh from the Khaira area offered him a police job for a payment of 230,000 rupees. Desperate for the job, Mithilesh borrowed 200,000 rupees from his uncle and handed it to Manoj Singh.

Wearing the Uniform and Seeking Blessings

Manoj Singh then measured his body, called him in a couple of days later, and dressed him in an IPS uniform, complete with a badge and fake pistol. Elated, Mithilesh went home, donned his new uniform, and received his mother's blessings before setting off to meet Manoj Singh again. Manoj Singh insisted on receiving the remaining 30,000 rupees. As Mithilesh waited briefly at Sikandra Chowk, police arrested him.

Son Returns in Police Uniform

His mother, Pinky Devi, recounted the moment her son returned in the police uniform, bringing joy to their family. However, their happiness was short-lived. The following day, as Mithilesh left for elsewhere, the police arrested him. Pinky Devi didn't know why her son had done such a thing. Police charged the impersonator Mithilesh Kumar but, due to provisions under the legal section 35(3), obtained a bond and released him.

DSP Sheds Light on the Investigation

Satish Suman, DSP of Jamui, stated that the mandatory arrest clause doesn't apply to cases attracting seven years of imprisonment or less. Therefore, Mithilesh Kumar was released on bond. The police are conducting a thorough investigation, and all individuals found involved will be prosecuted accordingly.
