With elections approaching in Bihar this year, political dynamics are heating up around Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's visit. JD(U), an ally of the NDA, took a jibe at Rahul’s tour. Executive National President of JD(U), Sanjay Jha mentioned, 'As elections draw near in Bihar, everyone is visible. In Parliament, Rahul Gandhi remained silent on the Waqf Bill. He has no contribution to Bihar, and his visit will have no effect.'

Sanjay Jha further stated, 'During the Congress and RJD government, there was migration in Bihar. Under the governance of Nitish Kumar, this has stopped. Rahul Gandhi needs to elaborate on measures taken to prevent migration during his government.'

'Waqf Amendment Bill referred to JPC upon JD(U)'s suggestion'

Regarding dissatisfaction among Muslim leadership within JD(U) and queries about party exits, Sanjay Jha mentioned, 'I was unaware of their presence in the party. Several people had meetings with CM Nitish Kumar, which formed our basis for discussions. Why was the Waqf Amendment referred to the JPC? It should have been passed earlier. It was upon JD(U)'s insistence that the matter went to the JPC. Rahul Gandhi should explain when the largest riot in Bihar happened.'

'Riots occurred in Bhagalpur under Congress rule'

Sanjay Jha said, 'Riots erupted in Bhagalpur during the Congress regime. After Nitish Kumar's government was established, riot victims were granted pensions. As long as Nitish Kumar leads, no harm will befall Muslims in Bihar.'

'Gandhi's travels will have zero impact'

Lalan Singh criticized Rahul Gandhi's travels, stating, 'There is no curfew in Bihar; Rahul Gandhi can tour as he wishes. There is no restriction on his travels. First, he should inquire about employment figures. Collect data on how many jobs were created under Nitish Kumar’s tenure. People tearing the constitution to shreds are making a fashion of carrying it around. The public has made up its mind, and his travels will amount to nothing.'

RJD counterattacks BJP on comments about Gandhi’s visit

In response to Rahul Gandhi's Bihar tour, RJD retaliated against BJP. RJD spokesperson Mritunjay Tiwari commented, 'It is not for BJP to morally question which support Congress leans on in Bihar. BJP itself is relying on the crutches of an incapacitated CM Nitish Kumar. The truth is BJP is perturbed by the Rahul Gandhi-Tejashwi Yadav alliance in Bihar.'
