Renowned in the Bhojpuri industry, Pawan Singh's wife, Jyoti Singh, has ventured into politics. She has submitted her nomination as an independent candidate from the Karakat seat, which has sent ripples through the Bhojpuri fraternity.
Notably, the nomination process for 122 assembly constituencies in Bihar's second phase concluded today, soon after the deadline for withdrawing candidates for the first phase, covering 121 seats, also came to an end.
Five Days Ago, Jyoti Singh Sought Public Opinion
Intriguingly, just days before making this monumental decision, Jyoti Singh took to Instagram, asking the public whether she should contest the elections. In her post, she expressed her dilemma: 'Greetings to Karakat's respected citizens. I am currently in a quandary. Should I or shouldn’t I proceed? Through various channels, I received a 50% positive and 50% negative response.'

Pawan Singh claimed that Jyoti harbored political ambitions, which fueled her allegations. He revealed that Jyoti incessantly requested his support to help her contest the election, insisting it was beyond his power. In a press conference, he alleged that Jyoti’s father desires for her to become a legislator. Commenting on his wife, Pawan Singh remarked, 'The extent to which she’s willing to go to become a legislator was unexpected.'
