Just as the buzz around Gwalior's 'Tunnel Road' begins to settle, another busy road in Bhopal has become the talk of the town. This road has transformed to resemble the rugged terrain of the moon. It is marked by numerous potholes that fill with mud during the rains. Consequently, two-wheeler riders struggle with the slippery conditions, while car drivers wrestle with disruptions. Daily, someone falls and ends up injured due to these treacherous potholes.

Interestingly, this has been the road's condition every monsoon for years. Connecting old and new Bhopal and leading towards the Bhopal railway station, it is a vital route. Usual traffic here comprises millions of people daily. Following the recent heavy rains, navigating this road has become even more challenging. From cars to bikes, drivers and riders maneuver through it with bumps and jerks.

Local residents claim that while potholes are filled, the intense traffic pressure causes them not to last. Furthermore, heavy rainfall washes away the gravel used to fill the holes.

Notably, Gwalior's famed Cheetakpuri Road has become a topic of national conversation. Within just 16 days, it has sunk eight times. Built at a cost of 4 crore rupees, the road succumbs even to minimal rain, trapping passing vehicles in its potholes. This inconvenience extends beyond pedestrians to disrupt traffic flow. With significant attention drawn to the issue, actions are being taken against those involved in the road's construction, leading to an overhaul and repair efforts.
