The drugs haul emanated from a flat in Prestige Finsbury Park, Balgere, amassing 8,335 LSD strips—the largest recovery ever recorded in Karnataka. With each LSD strip valued at around ₹6,000 in the illegal market, these strip's total worth reaches spectacular figures. Other illicit substances were also discovered, highlighting the scale of the accused's trafficking operations.

The investigation revealed LSD strips cleverly disguised as artistic and religious images, a tactic employed to attract and evade suspicion. The police arrested two individuals in connection with the case—Ashwin (27) and Mobina (25), hailing from Kerala. Probes suggest that the duo adopted drug trafficking as a profession, receiving small consignments from Thailand to dodge inspections. These shipments were orchestrated by an individual named 'Vincent,' arriving discreetly via flights.
