Following a strategic setback in Operation Sindoor, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has been making intriguing moves during his foreign visits. In every meeting, he boldly claims that Pakistan has given India a strong response, stating that they do not seek war. Shehbaz frequently introduces his Army Chief Asim Munir like a pawn, showering praise in front of international leaders.
On Wednesday in Azerbaijan's Lachin city, Shehbaz’s antics were on full display. Presidents Erdogan of Turkey and Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan were among the audience.
Shehbaz delivered a speech as Presidents Erdogan and Aliyev sat with their ministers around a round table. Ambassadors from several nations were present. Pakistan’s full delegation attended. Notably, Shehbaz is touring Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan with his senior aides and Army Chief.
Praising his Army Chief Asim Munir, Shehbaz suddenly instructed him to stand, intending to introduce him to everyone. Shehbaz said, "Ladies and gentlemen, on the night of May 9th and 10th, we decided on a measured response against India post the dawn prayers at 4:30 AM. With exemplary leadership, our Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, seated here, was to lead the charge."

Shehbaz admitted that Pakistan army was poised to attack post the dawn prayers, at 4:30 AM, but India launched a preemptive strike.
In his address to Erdogan and Aliyev, Shehbaz continued, "Before we could act, India struck multiple Pakistani regions with BrahMos missiles, impacting Rawalpindi Airport among others. Our Chief of Staff, seated in the front row, please stand for introductions..."

The Pakistani audience erupted in applause. Asim Munir, dressed in civilian clothes, stood up like a disciplined schoolboy. Presidents Erdogan and Aliyev looked on approvingly, applauding.
Shehbaz further noted, 'Asim Munir informed me that India had launched another attack.'
Shehbaz resumed praising his Army Chief, yet omitted the damage India inflicted on Pakistani airbases.

Twisting facts, Shehbaz claimed Pakistan targeted Indian military bases, while India targeted civilian locations in Pakistan, highlighting differences between the two countries.
Shehbaz claimed at 9 AM, Field Marshal received a call regarding ceasefire talks with India.
On May 9–10, India responded strongly to Pakistan, crippling its aerial combat capacity. India decimated 11 military bases, including Rahim Yar Khan, Nur Khan, and Bolari airbases. Subsequently, Pakistan's DGMO called India's DGMO to discuss a ceasefire.
