A controversy broke out in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, after a cricket ball struck a poster that carried 'I Love Mohammad'. Children playing in Azam Nagar hit the poster, leading to objections from the local Muslim community. The situation quickly escalated into an argument with the Hindu community. Someone notified the police, who arrived promptly to calm the situation. Complaints were filed from both sides, and the police are conducting an investigation. Security forces have been deployed to prevent any disturbance.

Manush Parik, SP City of Bareilly, disclosed details about the incident, noting that it was a dispute during a children's cricket game. An agreement between both parties was reached amicably. Currently, the area is peaceful, but police officers remain on guard for safety.

Amit Kumar, in charge of the Kotwali police station, stated that when the ball hit the poster, a dispute arose among the nearby women. Local residents observed that the matter started small, but it escalated, prompting police intervention. The issue was resolved with explanations to both parties. No legal actions are sought by either party, and an agreement has been reached through mutual consent.

Accusations by the Hindu Community

Local Hindu women accused that during Muslim festivals, they offer support, yet claim that some individuals from the Muslim community deliberately create disturbances during Hindu festivals like Holi, Diwali, or Navratri. The poster incident, they allege, was one such effort.

Accusations by the Muslim Community

The Muslim community present claimed that a woman from another neighborhood came and hit the 'I Love Mohammad' poster with her footwear, leading to protests from local Muslims. The woman allegedly began using derogatory words, prompting notification to the local Hindu community and police.

They further stated that despite the area's majority being Muslim, there has never been an issue with the Hindu community. They celebrate each other's festivals in harmony, maintaining brotherly relations.

Security Deployment

To avert any potential conflicts, law enforcement has been deployed to maintain order. Meanwhile, district IMC leader Maulana Tauqeer announced a protest post-Friday prayers, prompting cautious administrative steps.
