An appalling rape incident from Bangladesh's Comilla district has come to light, deeply unsettling everyone. Over a mere 35,000 Taka debt, a Hindu woman was stripped and brutally raped, with all bounds of humanity breached. The accused, Fazr Ali, claims association with Khaleda Zia's Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
The video of this heinous crime has now gone viral on social media, sparking outrage with the Hindu community taking to the streets in protest. The police have arrested 5 individuals, including the accused and those who filmed the incident. The victim's brother revealed that their family had borrowed 35,000 Taka from Fazr Ali, which was overdue for repayment.
The accused broke in after knocking went unanswered
Angry about not receiving his money, Fazr Ali barged into their home around Thursday night at 11 PM. At that time, the victim was alone with her young child. Her family members were away. The accused knocked on the door, which the woman refused to open. Infuriated, Fazr Ali broke the door and forced his way inside.

Vicious attack after stripping the victim
Once inside, the accused forcibly stripped the woman and preyed upon her. Her screams resonated across the neighborhood, prompting some people to rush towards the house. Upon arrival, they witnessed the woman and the accused in a compromising situation. It was during this time that someone took out a mobile to record a video. However, the truth was not known to anyone at that time.
The crowd first turned against the victim, then realized the truth
Initially, the crowd thought the woman was at fault and beat her extensively. But once she narrated her ordeal, their anger turned towards the accused. Fazr Ali was severely beaten on the spot, but managed to flee. He first sought refuge in a hospital in Comilla, then fled to Dhaka. Police, tracking his movements, eventually arrested him in Dhaka.
Known as a drug and gambling figurehead, posing as a leader
Local residents stated that Fazr Ali was notorious for drug and gambling activities. Although he would claim affiliation with BNP led by Khaleda Zia, he held no official position. Regarding the crime video circulating on social media, four more young men have been apprehended. Police are interrogating them, diligently investigating all aspects of this case.
