In the chilling double homicide of two innocent children in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, the second accused Javed has been captured in Bareilly. In his statement to the police, he insisted on his innocence, stating his unawareness of why Sajid committed the murders. The deceased children's mother, Sangeeta, expressed that Javed is fabricating this story to save himself, affirming that he is not telling the truth.

Sangeeta claimed that at the time of the incident, it was Javed who had brought Sajid to her house on a motorcycle. Following the murder, Sajid made a phone call from her house. She implored the police to retrieve the call records to establish whom Sajid contacted.

Sangeeta continued, explaining that Javed's deceit was evident as he had full knowledge of the plan behind the murder. Demanding an inquiry into the timeline Javed had been crafting his scheme, Sangeita questioned why he visited her home when her children had no outside connections and stayed home playing.

Following his arrest, Javed’s video confession surfaced, revealing these remarks. It is known that after being recognized by some people in an autorickshaw in Bareilly, he was questioned and he pleaded to be turned over to the police, proclaiming his innocence. Since the incident in Badaun, Javed had been on the run and a reward of 25,000 rupees had been declared for his capture.

Javed explained that the swarm of people in Badaun after the crime drove him to flee to Delhi. He then returned to Bareilly from Delhi intending to surrender. He received many calls stating that 'your brother has committed a crime.' I turned off my phone. I am a straightforward, decent person. It was my elder brother (Sajid) who did it. I have no part in this,” he said.
