Before Plotting a Major Crime, Bishnoi Observes a 9-Day Silence Fast

According to sources, Lawrence Bishnoi, during his detention at Sabarmati Jail, observed a nine-day silence fast during the Navratri festival. Throughout this period, he abstained from speaking or consuming any food, only partaking in milk, yogurt, and fruits. It is believed that Bishnoi's gang plans major criminal activities during these fasting periods.

Recently, a video call involving Lawrence Bishnoi surfaced on social media, showing him conversing with a Pakistani gangster and exchanging Eid greetings. Although the call allegedly originated from Sabarmati Jail, the prison administration dismissed it as an old video.

Reports indicate that Bishnoi is housed in a separate cell within Sabarmati Jail, where he supposedly uses a mobile phone. He maintains a routine involving badminton and exercises. Intelligence agencies confirm these activities.

Even during his time in Tihar Jail, Bishnoi was reportedly communicating via phone, as exposed by internal calls revealed through India Today's investigative reporting. When Bishnoi was imprisoned in Punjab and Rajasthan, he was also suspected of utilizing mobile phones.

Secured in a High-Security Barrack

Lawrence Bishnoi is detained in a special unit known as the 'egg cell' at Sabarmati Jail, where notorious criminals involved in heinous crimes or terrorism are kept. Since 2008, similarly high-profile detainees have been placed in such security cells following bomb blast arrests. This section is heavily guarded by personnel outside the cell and barrack.

Interactions with detainees in these security cells are limited, ensuring isolation. Lawrence Bishnoi's religious devotion sees him meditating and performing religious rites within his confined space. Only with the Home Ministry's approval can he be removed from the prison.

Assailants Conducted Surveillance for 25 Days

According to Mumbai police sources, the crime branch alleges that during the interrogation, the suspects confessed their association with the Bishnoi gang. The accused reportedly conducted surveillance for 25-30 days prior to the attack, using an auto rickshaw to travel to the shooting spot in Bandra East.

The investigation uncovered that the assailants spent significant time waiting for Siddiqui, raising suspicion of insider information aiding the attack. The police continue to delve deeply into the investigation, determined to uncover the truth behind the shocking murder.
