What is the Process of Ram Lalla's 'Surya Abhishek'?
The spectacle of Ram Lalla's 'Surya Tilak' during Ram Navami will be a magnificent sight. Sunlight will first touch the mirror placed on the third level of the temple. Reflecting off, it will enter a brass pipe. It then strikes a second mirror fitted inside the pipe, bending 90 degrees to pass through three different lenses before reflecting off another mirror at the end of the pipe leading into the sanctum sanctorum. Once it strikes the mirror in the sanctum, the rays will form a circular 'Tilak' 75mm in diameter on Ram Lalla's forehead, where it will illumine for a continuous five minutes.
