Ashneer Grover, co-founder and ex-Managing Director of BharatPe, is gearing up for a grand re-entry into the fintech space with the launch of a new medical application called ZeroPe. Currently, in testing, this app is developed by Third Unicorn.
In 2023, after his departure from BharatPe, Grover established Third Unicorn and launched CrickPe, a fantasy gaming platform. Now, the highly anticipated ZeroPe app is expected to be launched soon.
What facilities will this app provide?
Ashneer Grover's new app will facilitate medical loans. For those requiring emergency funding for medical treatments, ZeroPe will offer instant loans up to 5 lakh rupees. The app has entered a deal with Delhi's non-banking financial company Mukut Finvest, with services available exclusively at associated hospitals.
The journey won't be easy
for Grover as other companies already offer such services, including SaveIn, Qube Health, Arogya Finance, NeoDocs, FiB, Kenco, and MyCare Health, providing immediate loans for medical bills and alternative treatments.
Growth of India's Medical Market
It's noteworthy that Third Unicorn began in 2023 challenging platforms like Dream11, MPL, and Games24x7's My11Circle with the launch of CrickPe. Though not as successful, Grover is now preparing to launch a medical app under its umbrella. Reports project that by 2030, India's digital healthcare sector could generate revenues of 37 billion dollars, with the medical loan segment alone reaching up to 5 billion dollars.
