The audacious attack on a car showroom in Delhi's Naraina by two notorious shooters was promptly thwarted by the Special Cell of Delhi Police. Identified as Akash alias Bholi, aged 19, and Sumit alias Kala, aged 29, both were captured after a comprehensive multi-state manhunt at Miraj Junction in Maharashtra. Shockingly, on September 27, 2024, these culprits fired around 15 bullets in the Car Street showroom and demanded an extortion of Rs 5 crore. The gangster Himanshu alias Bhau, operating from abroad, claimed responsibility for this brazen act.

Pursuing the culprits, the Special Cell meticulously combed through CCTV footage, analyzed technical data, and pursued manual inputs to unearth the identities of the shooters. During the probe, they traced the identities to Arman Khan, Akash alias Bholi, and Sumit alias Kala. They also discovered that a person named Deepak was involved in strategizing and providing logistics for the attack on the showroom.

A team from the Special Cell’s Northern Range arrested Arman Khan following a brief encounter. Subsequently, the Crime Branch also managed to reach Deepak, who furnished logistics. It was learned that the culprits were constantly on the move, traversing various states such as Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra, seldom staying in one place for long.

On October 3, 2024, leveraging data analysis and gathered intelligence, the team discovered the culprits were heading toward Kolhapur, Maharashtra. By analyzing their movements and intelligence, the train they were traveling in was identified. A strategic trap was laid near Miraj Junction, resulting in the successful arrest of both accused, who confessed their crime during interrogation.

Upon questioning, the accused admitted their mission was to fire at the showroom to extort money from its owner. They meticulously observed the showroom before launching their attack. On the evening of September 27, 2024, at around 6:30 PM, all accused, including Arman Khan, Akash, Sumit, and Deepak, converged at Naraina. Armed with weapons, Akash alias Bholi, Sumit alias Kala, and Arman infiltrated the showroom, unleashed gunfire, and left a threatening note with the showroom manager.

Following the incident, the accused dispersed to elude arrest. Arman and Deepak went their separate ways, while Sumit alias Kala and Akash alias Bholi took a bus towards Jaipur. From Jaipur, they switched to travel via train to Hisar, then to Amritsar. They continued to alter their hideouts repeatedly in Hisar, Rohtak, and Sonipat, Haryana. On October 1, 2024, they reached the Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station and journeyed through Madhya Pradesh, Manmad, and Pune, finally arriving in Kolhapur. Ultimately, it was at Miraj Junction in Maharashtra where the Special Cell executed their arrest.
