Team India's New Jersey Sponsor:
The suspense over who will sponsor the Indian cricket team's jersey is over. Apollo Tyres has officially become the new jersey sponsor for the Indian cricket team. This significant announcement was made following the cancellation of Dream11's sponsorship deal by BCCI due to the Indian government's decision to ban all betting apps.
In the bidding process, Apollo Tyres outbid with a remarkable offer of 45 million rupees per match to the BCCI, exceeding the previous offer of 40 million rupees from Dream11. This fresh agreement will extend until 2027.
Following this new arrangement, Apollo Tyres' logo will prominently feature on the Indian team's jersey. Industry insiders suggest that this move will not only bolster brand support for Team India but also elevate Apollo Tyres' brand value to new heights.
Currently, the Indian men's team has no sponsor for the Asia Cup, and the women's team is playing a three-match series against Australia without sponsorship.
Dream11 terminated its sponsorship with the men's team for the Asia Cup as the government recently imposed regulations on real money online gaming.
On September 2nd, BCCI released bidding rules for jersey sponsors, which prohibited companies associated with gaming, betting, crypto, and tobacco. Other companies excluded from bidding included those in sportswear, banking, financial services, cold drinks, fans, mixers, grinders, locks, and insurance industries, as their products were already linked with other BCCI sponsors.

This was done as their products were already tied to other BCCI sponsors. The withdrawal of Dream11 resulted from the recently enacted Online Gaming Act 2025, which bans games played with real money.
Dream11's Deal Details:
In July 2023, Dream11 secured a substantial deal worth 3.58 billion rupees with BCCI. It acquired sponsorship rights for the Indian women's team, Indian men's team, India Under-19 team, and India-A team's kits. At that time, Dream11 replaced Byju's.
Similarly, Dream11 made a significant investment in the Indian Premier League (IPL), enlisting high-profile players such as MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, and Jasprit Bumrah as brand ambassadors.
In 2020, Dream11 also sponsored the IPL trophy. As the official fantasy partner of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), it also served as the title sponsor for New Zealand's Super Smash. It was also associated with Australia's Big Bash League (both men's and women's). In 2018, it partnered with the International Cricket Council (ICC).
