Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, has recently concluded a pre-wedding event that has sparked conversation globally. The event, hosted in Jamnagar, Gujarat, witnessed the presence of stars from all over the world. Prior to the grand celebration, Anant opened up about his family ties with his father, brother, and sister in dialogue with Aaj Tak.
Anant Ambani has revealed the nature of his relationship with his father and considers his older brother Akash Ambani akin to Lord Ram, while his sister Isha plays a protective role in his life, similar to a mother. 'My elder siblings are like advisors,' says Anant, 'and I see myself as Hanuman, ready to follow their guidance throughout my life.'
On Comparisons with Dhirubhai Ambani
Regarding comparisons with his grandfather Dhirubhai Ambani, Anant believes that striving to follow in his footsteps is a grand aspiration in itself. He humbly declines the notion of being like his grandfather, emphasizing that he is only trying to continue the legacy. Anant stresses there is no pressure regarding the family business legacy established by his father and grandfather.
Is Mukesh Ambani Intimidating?
In response to whether Mukesh Ambani is strict or intimidating, Anant demurs. Far from it – he sees his father as a friend who has supported him greatly. Anant shares, 'My father once told me – when you're working on a service-related project, don't mix it with business interests. Our business endeavors should benefit the public economically. Service should remain purely service, and business purely business, with the spirit of service equally essential in the latter.'
Fraternal and Sororal Love Abounds
Amidst question about the differences that once arose between the previous generation—Mukesh and Anil—Anant is confident he won't face similar challenges due to the deep affection amongst the siblings. He affirms, 'There exists no room for competition among us.' There is a strong bond of love and understanding within the Ambani family.
