The anticipation for the electoral showdown in Uttar Pradesh's Sultanpur Lok Sabha seat is palpable. Menaka Gandhi is once again in the fray under the BJP banner, while SP's Ram Bhual Nishad is challenging her presence. BSP, on the other hand, is placing its bets on Uday Raj Verma. The final day of the campaign saw an emotional appeal by Varun Gandhi, Menaka's son, while the newly joined SP heavyweight Sonu Singh (Chandra Bhadra Singh) along with Monu Singh (Yash Bhadra Singh) rallied in support for Ram Bhual Nishad. Voters in Sultanpur are set to cast their votes on May 25, with results unveiling on June 4.
In the 2019 elections, Varun Gandhi, the MP from Pilibhit and Menaka Gandhi's son, campaigned vigorously for 15 days in Sultanpur. Although he did not camp this time, his team was actively engaging the electorate. In response to the reports from his team, Varun made a last-minute appearance on the closing day, addressing a whirlwind of ten rallies. He poignantly invoked the family ties with Sultanpur, including references to his father Sanjay Gandhi, and mother Menaka, to make a heartfelt plea to the voters.
On the other hand, the 'India' alliance reveals SP candidates being strongly backed by the influential 'Bhadra brothers' Sonu and Monu who have pitched their efforts for Ram Bhual Nishad, holding substantial rallies in his favor. In these efforts, Sonu Singh, the formidable former MLA, made an impassioned call to loyalty, mentioning a paramount assignment from 'Akhilesh brother' and urging the community to vote wholeheartedly on the 25th.

Sonu Singh, touching upon personal narratives, stated that his father was martyred serving the people and urged voters to honor his legacy by electing their candidate. Monu Singh pointed out the fierce competition they provided to Menaka Gandhi in the last election and urged to transform the present crowd's energy into votes, stressing it as their most significant responsibility.
The sight of various communities rallying together in the village of Mayang, home to the Bhadra brothers, adds an exciting dimension to the electoral battle in Sultanpur. The 'Bhadra brothers' have a reputation for their influence, and in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Sonu Singh, on a BSP ticket, gave Menaka Gandhi a close fight, losing by only 14,526 votes.

Meanwhile, the BSP 'elephant' seems lethargic in the early stages. Despite this, Mayawati made a point of campaigning in Sultanpur for their candidate, emphasizing that BSP's silent voters could upset the BJP and SP's plans, leading to an unpredictable triangular contest.
In the Sultanpur battlefield, a total of 9 candidates are contesting ---
1- BJP's Menaka Gandhi
2- SP's Ram Bhual Nishad
3- BSP's Uday Raj Verma
4- Dr. Shiva Shankar of Indian Most Backward Classes
5- Abdul Maabood of Apna Desh Party
