India's leading dairy brand Amul has achieved another milestone in the business world by expanding its operations to the United States. The Indian-origin company is set to trade milk in the US and has announced plans to launch fresh milk products on the East Coast and the Midwest markets in collaboration with the Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA).
Jayen Mehta, Managing Director of the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation, delightfully shared that Amul is gearing up to introduce fresh milk products in America. 'We've entered into a partnership with the 108-year-old dairy cooperative society in the US,' said Mehta at their annual meeting on the 28th of March when the MMPA deal was announced.
Amul's Product Riches Hit the US Shores
For the first time, Amul Milk steps outside India and into a market like the US. Mehta remarked that the pricing will be competitive. Amul plans to launch fresh milk chains in one-gallon (3.8 liters) and half-gallon (1.9 liters) packs under the Amul brand name.
The lineup includes Amul Gold with 6 percent fat content, Amul Shakti with 4.5 percent, Amul Taaza with 3 percent, and Amul Slim with 2 percent milk fat content.
