Will America Join Israel in a War Against Iran? Plans to Target Nuclear Sites

According to reports from U.S. media, President Donald Trump is considering joining Israel's ongoing strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. This development emerged following a significant meeting conducted with his national security team at the White House Situation Room for an hour and 20 minutes on Tuesday, where President Trump reviewed the escalating tensions between Israel and Iran.

Sources familiar with the matter, including a senior intelligence officer and a Department of Defense official, informed CBS News that President Trump is contemplating involvement in Israel's military efforts targeting Iran's nuclear facilities.

According to Axios, two Israeli officials indicated that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli defense establishment believe that Trump might decide to join the conflict and target Iran’s underground enrichment site in the coming days.

President Trump's abrupt departure from the G7 summit, coupled with numerous warnings on social media, has fueled speculation regarding increased American involvement. His recent demand for Iran's 'unconditional surrender' has further intensified discussions about possible U.S. actions.

Iran Prepares Retaliation

The

reported that American officials assert, should the U.S. partake in Israel's war against Iran, Tehran has prepared missiles and military equipment for attacks on American bases in the Middle East.

In preparation, the United States has dispatched around three dozen refueling aircraft to Europe, which can support fighter jets safeguarding American bases.

The fear of war is escalating among U.S. officials, given Israel's pressure on the White House to intervene in its conflict with Iran. Officials noted that if the U.S. joins the Israeli campaign and targets Fordow (a significant Iranian nuclear facility), Iran-backed Houthi militia will likely resume attacks on ships in the Red Sea. They also suggested that Iranian-backed militias in Iraq and Syria might attempt strikes on American bases there.

Trump Calls Khamenei an Easy Target

In a social media post, Trump declared America has total control over Iran's airspace. He asserted that Iran's defense systems fail to measure up to the might of American-built military technology.
