The Air India (AIR India) plane crash in Ahmedabad has sent shockwaves across the globe. In this tragic accident, approximately 270 lives were lost. On Monday, Air India's Chairman N. Chandrasekaran addressed employees at the airline's headquarters and training academy in Gurugram.

N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of the Tata Group, characterized the incident as a devastating crisis while addressing the Air India staff post-accident. He urged employees to maintain their commitment to passenger safety and service, and to work together to overcome this tragedy.

A Heartfelt Appeal to Staff

Chandrasekaran, in an emotional moment with employees, expressed that the pain is unimaginable, and he has felt deeply saddened since the accident.

He stated, 'This has been the most harrowing crisis of my career. As no compensation can heal this loss, the airline will always stand by the families affected by this disaster, and we must do everything possible to support those who have lost loved ones.'

He emphasized that the bereaved families will always be a part of the Air India family. This is a time when we may face criticism, but we must not forget our duty. Our resolution should be strong-focus on making Air India a secure airline.

Encouragement for Air India Staff from Chandrasekaran

Chandrasekaran advised employees to wait for the investigation results, acknowledging the complexity of aviation systems. Thus, remaining calm and focused is vital. Every small effort you make is linked to Air India's future.

Notably, on June 12th, a Boeing 787 crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad Airport bound for London. Only one passenger, Ramesh Vishwas, survived the tragedy, while two pilots and 12 crew members tragically lost their lives. Chandrasekaran has urged employees to demonstrate unity, courage, and resilience in these trying times to help the airline recover and maintain its credibility.

It's worth noting that Air India, now part of the Tata Group, has been working on modernizing its services and fleet in recent years. This accident poses new challenges for the airline, especially in maintaining passengers' trust and enhancing safety standards. Chandrasekaran has also indicated that the Tata Group stands shoulder to shoulder with Air India in this crisis.
