An AIIMS Delhi doctor tragically ended his life on Sunday. Upon receiving the information, the police took charge of the body and sent it for post-mortem. According to the details provided, the deceased, Dr. Raj Ghonia, was a neurosurgeon approximately 34 years old. The police have stated that the investigation is ongoing and further steps will be taken after the post-mortem reports are received.
Police sources indicate that Dr. Ghonia had ongoing disputes with his wife. His wife had gone to her mother's house for Raksha Bandhan. It is suspected that the neurosurgeon took an overdose to commit suicide. Initially, it appears that the doctor consumed a large quantity of medications, but the exact cause of death will be confirmed once the post-mortem report is available.

Further revelations indicate that Dr. Raj Ghonia was married just 3 years ago, and there had been no previous complaints regarding any domestic disputes. Statement from DCP South
DCP South reported that around 2 PM, a PCR call was received at the Hauz Khas police station regarding a doctor committing suicide. Upon receiving the call, the police reached the location where they found 34-year-old Dr. Raj Ghonia from Rajkot. He was immediately taken to AIIMS, where the doctors declared him dead.
Suicide Note Recovered from the Scene
It has come to light during the investigation that Dr. Raj Ghonia was positioned as an SR neurosurgeon at AIIMS Trauma Center. A suicide note was recovered from the scene, in which the deceased mentioned that it was his own decision and did not blame anyone. Some used medication bottles and syringes were found at the scene. Further investigation is ongoing.
