Panic ensued in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, as the body of a woman was found inside a mosque, with her clothes in disarray and her face brutally crushed with a stone. The mosque, located just 100 meters from the Taj Mahal's high-security zone, raises several questions. The police have detained some suspects in the case.

The mosque, known as the Sandali Mosque, is notably close to the high-security zone of the Taj Mahal. The police have detained several individuals amid suspicions of murder and are questioning them.

According to reports, a woodcutter first noticed the woman's body in the Sandali Mosque. The police were immediately informed and rushed to the scene, taking possession of the body and sending it for autopsy.

The woman's purse was recovered at the scene and upon examination, a photograph of Aamir Khan, a resident of the Tajganj area, was found. The police visited Aamir's home to inquire how his photo ended up in the woman's purse, to which Aamir's mother disclosed she had given it to her.

Meanwhile, another police team is examining the area's CCTV footage. In one of the videos, the woman is seen walking with a man around 8:00 AM. After identifying the man, the police detained him for questioning. The circumstances and evidence at the scene suggest the deceased woman had been the victim of a heinous act and a possible scuffle with her attacker, who appears to have ended her life with repeated blows to the head with a heavy object like a stone.

The victim was said to have been married 20 years ago in Kasganj district, Uttar Pradesh. After living with her husband for two years, she returned to her parental home. Meanwhile, she gave birth to a daughter, who is now 18 years old. After moving back, the woman would regularly visit the Sandali Mosque every morning to voluntarily clean it. This place of worship is usually quiet, with only worshippers attending.

Her 18-year-old daughter, now staying with her grandmother, is devastated by her mother's death. Whilst the investigation into the woman's murder continues on multiple fronts, including signs of struggle on her body, the police are exploring angles of a potential affair and the possibility of superstitions or ritualistic practices.

Authorities have formed a police team dedicated to uncovering the truth behind the incident. CCTV footage from the surrounding area is being thoroughly checked. The DCP of the city has stated that the police's field unit team reached the site immediately after being informed of a body in the mosque and the investigation is ongoing.
