In Agra, Uttar Pradesh, an IT company manager tragically ended his life, overwhelmed by distress alleged to have been caused by his wife. The man recorded a heart-wrenching live video, which has now gone viral on social media. In this video, the man accused his wife of pushing him to this extreme step. Following the incident, the deceased's father registered a complaint at the Sadar police station. This incident has evoked memories of the tragic Bangalore case of Atul Subhash.
The entire situation unfolded in the Defense Colony of Agra, where Manav Sharma worked as a recruitment manager for a prominent IT company. On February 24, Manav ended his life by hanging. Before this tragic act, he recorded an emotional video questioning the character of his wife.
In the video, Manav Sharma expressed how he had previously attempted suicide but felt so harried by his situation with his wife that there seemed no other way out. Manav called for protective laws for men, raising concerns about the legal system.
In what he termed his 'last video,' Manav expressed his apologies, 'Papa sorry, Mommy sorry, Akku sorry... I am bidding farewell now.' His plea highlighted the need for legal protection for men, who he described as often feeling very isolated. Before his final act, Manav urged that his parents should not be troubled after his death.
According to Manav Sharma's father, his son got married only last year. Due to his job, he had relocated to Mumbai with his wife. However, his wife would often engage in arguments in Mumbai. She allegedly threatened to involve the family in false legal cases and was said to be involved in an affair. Near the end of February, Manav returned from Mumbai with his wife, who then left to go back to her family.
The father alleges that Manav was threatened by his wife's family, and his wife also mistreated him. Suffering from this depression, Manav ended his life on February 24 by hanging. Before dying, he recorded a video narrating his distress.
Manav Sharma's six-minute 'last video' is particularly haunting. He is seen tightening a noose around his neck while appealing, 'I will be gone, but think about men, speak about men, they are very lonely.' Following this, he took the drastic step.
