After completing his bail period, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal surrendered at Tihar Jail on a Sunday, sparking political debate over his physical health while in custody. Upon surrender, Kejriwal was subject to a medical check-up, tipping the scales at 63.5 KG, with a sugar level of 120. AAP leader Sanjay Singh now accuses the jail of reporting three different weights at three separate times.

Complaining on social media platform X, Singh ridiculed the scenario, 'Three different weigh-ins on three different scales in jail. One measured 61 Kg, another 64 kg, and a third 66.5 Kg. However, prior to jail, Kejriwal weighed 63 kg at home. What sort of joke is this, Mr. LG? Please fix the scales! In today's fierce 44-degree heat, Kejriwal is confined to a small Tihar cell without even the comfort of a cooler—something even notorious criminals are granted.'

Sanjay Singh accuses, Tihar cell lacks even a cooler

Sanjay Singh alleges that Kejriwal's cell lacks any relief from the heat, with not even a cooler provided, while notorious criminals have been given one.

AAP Minister Atishi questions the situation

AAP Minister Atishi has also raised concerns about the lack of cooling facilities in Kejriwal's jail cell. 'Even hardened criminals are provided with coolers in prison, yet CM Kejriwal is left to endure this sweltering heat without one. I demand answers from the BJP and the LG—why is a patient with declining weight due to diabetes, who abides by the law, subjected to this sizzling cell without the basic amenity of a cooler?' she accused the BJP of cruelty.

Inconsistent weights reported

Atishi notes that Kejriwal's first weigh-in on a scale read 61 kilograms, sending a shiver through the BJP-administered Tihar Jail, fearing court disapproval. A second weigh-in on a different scale showed 64 kilograms, and yet still short of Kejriwal's 70-kilogram weight as of March 21. A third scale registered 66.5 kilograms.

7 kg weight loss?

'I want to inform you of a severe conspiracy by the BJP-led Tihar administration. Kejriwal, prior to his imprisonment, recorded his weight at home as 63 kilograms. On March 21, when the ED arrested him, his weight was 70 kilograms—a 7 kilogram loss that poses a serious issue for doctors,' Atishi expressed concern.

Kejriwal's words before surrendering to Tihar

Before surrendering to Tihar Jail, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal addressed party workers at the AAP office, dismissing exit polls as fabricated, questioning their purpose three days before election results, and suggesting possible coercion to favor the BJP in poll predictions.
