Following Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's Voter Rights Journey, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav is about to begin a significant journey of his own. On Tuesday, Tejashwi Yadav will launch his 'Bihar Rights Journey' from Jehanabad. The roadmap of this journey is strategically crafted with the assembly elections in mind, as Tejashwi will be looking to understand the political dynamics of these 10 districts over five days.

Tejashwi Yadav will start his trek from Jehanabad, with the journey culminating at Vaishali on September 20. As the elections approach, the 'Bihar Rights Journey' is seen as a strategic move to shape the political atmosphere.

With a keen eye on the Bihar Assembly Elections, the RJD has meticulously designed Tejashwi's journey route. During this five-day trip, Tejashwi aims to connect with 66 assembly seats spanning 10 districts, encapsulating 27% of the state's 242 seats. Hidden within the journey's roadmap are the political maneuvers of Tejashwi.

Exploring 10 Districts in 5 Days

Tejashwi Yadav will initiate the 'Bihar Rights Journey' from Jehanabad's Gandhi Maidan. The route will then take him through Nalanda, Patna, Begusarai, Khagaria, Madhepura, Saharsa, Supaul, and Samastipur, concluding at Vaishali. Throughout this journey, Tejashwi will engage with the public, holding dialogues and discussions. The objective is to sway the political climate of Bihar in favor of the RJD.

During Rahul Gandhi's Voter Rights Journey, all parties of the India Block were present; however, Tejashwi's journey stands solely as an RJD expedition. No other opposition leader, including Rahul Gandhi, will join. The RJD positions this as a monumental step towards bestowing the people with their rightful entitlements.

On the Route: 66 Seats in a Tight Contest

Tejashwi Yadav will traverse 10 districts, affecting 66 assembly seats. This constitutes 27% of Bihar's 243 seats. In 2020, these 66 seats witnessed a close contest between the NDA led by Nitish Kumar and the Grand Alliance under Tejashwi Yadav. In Supaul, the Grand Alliance couldn't secure any seats, whereas in Jehanabad, the NDA drew a blank.

From the 66 seats targeted, the NDA clinched 34, while the Grand Alliance secured 32 in the 2020 elections. Reviewing party performances, JDU won 19, BJP 15, and one seat went to LJP, which later aligned with JDU. The Grand Alliance's 32 victories included 23 seats from RJD, 3 from Congress, and 6 from the Left parties.

Unveiling the Political Ambitions of Tejashwi's Journey

Jehanabad serves as the starting point of Tejashwi Yadav's journey, a stronghold for the RJD, where the NDA's efforts were thwarted in the previous election. The route will lead through Nalanda, a bastion of Nitish Kumar, to Begusarai, home to Giriraj Singh, and Madhepura, under Pappu Yadav. Throughout his journey, Tejashwi aims to fortify their standing in Grand Alliance's territories and expand influence in weaker regions.

Regions like Nalanda, Samastipur, Supaul, and Madhepura are strongholds for the BJP and JDU. Hence, it becomes evident that Tejashwi, through the 'Bihar Rights Journey,' strives to bolster RJD's presence in these perceived weaker strongholds. The regions also exhibit significant social equations with the dominance of Yadavs, Bhumihars, and extremely backward castes.

Revitalizing the RJD through Tejashwi's Calculated Move

Political analysts suggest that while Rahul Gandhi's Voter Rights Journey reenergized the Bihar Congress, Tejashwi Yadav's 'Bihar Rights Journey' aims to uplift RJD leaders and workers. Consequently, RJD's message about Tejashwi's journey specifically targets party leaders and activists.

While reinforcing party leadership and catalyzing grassroots engagement, Tejashwi extends his connection efforts towards the citizenry. Unlike the journey with Rahul Gandhi that focused on the voter rights issue, this new endeavor seeks to highlight the rights of the people of Bihar.

Tejashwi plans to highlight issues concerning farmers, youth, women, the elderly, and employment during his interactions. Political parties devise election strategies, and the RJD has carved its approach.

Tejashwi's move is deemed a crucial part of RJD's overarching plan. In a manner reminiscent of his father, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tejashwi seeks direct rapport and connection with the populace. Lalu Yadav frequently communicated with voters through journeys and rallies, and Tejashwi's current endeavor carries forward that legacy.

RJD has fully committed to Tejashwi's journey, directing all district leaders and legislators to leave no stone unturned in preparation. Crowds are to be drawn to the journey across targeted assembly regions, ensuring Tejashwi receives the platform to engage directly with voters. Remarkably, a centralized venue is fixed for each area to amass a supportive crowd participating in the journey.
