An airstrip extending 3 kilometers has been constructed near Piru village on the Ganga Expressway passing through the Jalalabad police station area of Shahjahanpur. From a strategic perspective, this airstrip is crucial because the China border is just 250 kilometers away. In case of any attacks on military airbases, this airstrip will prove invaluable.

The Ganga Expressway is said to be the first highway where fighter planes like these will land at night. Various fighter jets will rehearse 'Touch and Go' maneuvers, and refueling rehearsals will also take place.
