In Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh, a pregnant woman visiting Mohanlal Gautam Women's Hospital for delivery unfortunately received the wrong injection from a doctor, which led to her untimely demise.
Babita, from the village of Bhud's Nagariya in Aligarh, was admitted to the district's Mohanlal Hospital for her delivery. When labor pains intensified, her mother-in-law requested the staff to administer an injection to relieve her pain. Unfortunately, after receiving the injection, Babita became restless and tragically passed away. The hospital administration is accused of hastily attempting to send her body home.
Babita was already a mother of three and was expecting her fourth child. Following her death, her family protested vehemently within the hospital premises, needing intervention from administrative officials to restore calm.
Additional City Magistrate Kunwar Bahadur Singh mentioned that Babita had successfully delivered her previous three children at the same hospital. She had been brought for her fourth delivery, surrounded by familiar family faces. Complications arose during delivery, and while efforts were being made to refer her to another facility, she succumbed. No official complaint has been filed yet, and it seems there was no negligence. The family was eager to take her home voluntarily.
