Home Minister Amit Shah announced that two more factions of the Hurriyat Conference in Jammu & Kashmir have abandoned separatism, expressing faith in the new India crafted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This development follows just two days after two other factions, the Jammu & Kashmir People’s Movement (JKPM) and the Jammu & Kashmir Democratic Political Movement (JKDPM), declared their departure from separatism.

Amit Shah articulated that under Modi's administration, separatism is reaching its final phase, and unity's echoes can be heard across Kashmir. In a post on X, he reported another major development from the Kashmir Valley. Two more groups associated with the Hurriyat, the Jammu & Kashmir Tahriqi Isteklal and the Jammu & Kashmir Tehreek-e-Isteqamat, have forsaken separatism and affirmed confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for a new India.

J&K Tahriqi Isteklal's leader, Ghulam Nabi Sofi, declared in a statement that his organization is completely severed from the All Party Hurriyat Conference (APHC). He stated, 'Despite overcoming numerous hurdles, we continued our struggle, yet neither APHC (G) nor APHC (M) could meet the expectations of the public. They failed at every step to represent people's sentiments and aspirations. I had already distanced myself from the separatist ideology and officially renounce it today.'

Sofi further professed his identity as a true and committed Indian citizen, upholding the Indian Constitution. He asserted that he never participated in any anti-India activity and has no intention of engaging in any such actions in the future.

J&K Tehreek-e-Isteqamat's leader, Ghulam Nabi War, also proclaimed severing all connections with both APHC (G) and (M). He remarked that the Hurriyat had lost its grassroots support and had failed to fulfill the public's expectations. 'I had already separated myself from separatist ideology, and today I officially sever my ties with it.'
