The saga of Mukhtar Ansari from Mohammadabad has finally drawn to a close. In life, he straddled two worlds—revered by some as a Robin Hood and feared by others as a notorious mafia don. Amidst this dichotomy, Mukhtar Ansari has left this world behind. On this Saturday morning, as he was laid to rest, thousands gathered to witness the event; among them were grateful beneficiaries of his largesse as well as sworn enemies.

A massive crowd of supporters was present at Mukhtar's funeral. However, outsiders were not permitted to participate in the burial within the graveyard, with only family members being granted access. Officials from the Ghazipur district administration were present at the scene, strictly regulating the entry of attendees.

As Mukhtar Ansari's body was being taken for the burial, the crowd of supporters from outside chanted 'long live' and scrambled to be allowed inside the graveyard to pay their last respects. In addition to the administration, Mukhtar's brothers, Afzal and Umar Ansari, pleaded with the crowd to remain calm, as police orders restricted graveyard access to family-only. Extra forces were deployed, and the entire route was blocked off.
