Jabalpur Double Murder Mystery:

In a harrowing twist, Jabalpur's railway officer and his young son's murderers remain elusive, but startling evidence has emerged during the police investigation. Call detail records reveal the officer’s missing daughter, Kavya, was involved in the double homicide. For six months, she and her neighbor, Mukul Singh, orchestrated the terrifying plot. Their current whereabouts are unknown, but recently their location was traced to Pune.

The Daughter, the Boyfriend, and a Dark Plot

Police are desperately searching for Rajkumar Vishwakarma's underage daughter and her boyfriend, Mukul Singh, both suspected in the brutal killing of Vishwakarma and his son Tanishk. While authorities wondered if Kavya was involved in her father and brother's murder, recent evidence has made it clear that she not only had a hand in the heinous action, her conspiracy with Singh spanned the past half year.

CDR and Chat Histories Reveal Thickening Plot

Before fleeing the crime scene, both left their mobile phones at home, with Kavya taking her mother's phone to avert police tracking. Police recovered the abandoned phones and initiated a probe. A review of the phones' CDR, recordings, and chat histories confirmed Kavya's months-long planning for her father and brother's demise, a macabre scheme shared with Singh.

Railway Officer Had Sent Mukul to Jail

In September last year, Mukul absconded with his underage girlfriend to Bhopal. The police, however, rescued them, and soon after, through Kavya, her father Rajkumar Vishwakarma filed a case against Mukul under the POCSO Act, leading to Mukul's imprisonment, while Kavya was sent to her uncle's residence in Pipariya. Despite the distance, Kavya maintained contact with Mukul through her mobile phone.

Kavya Resisted Returning to Pipariya

Following Mukul's release, the pair began communicating openly. Kavya returned to Jabalpur for her tenth-grade exams and resolved never to return to Pipariya, contrary to her father's plans to send her back post-exams. In defiance, she and Mukul plotted to end her father and brother's lives.

After the ghastly act, the young couple, now on the run, left a trail of evidence revealing stops at a restaurant where online payments were made, only to switch off their mobile phones again to evade detection. Newly acquired CCTV footage suggests premeditated actions, with Mukul seen carrying a gas cylinder, cutter, and gloves around the colony that night.

Seeking a New Life

Investigating officer Dheeraj Raj shared that Mukul fled with all his educational certificates, suggesting that the couple intends to start life anew elsewhere, possibly seeking employment for Mukul.

The Awaited Capture of the Duo

The investigation so far clarifies the motive and conspiracy behind the murders, and all that remains is the capture of the duo. Their last known location was Pune, where Kavya was seen using her ATM card, thus giving police a clue to their whereabouts.

The Double Murder Case Emerges

The chilling story began on March 15, 2024, when Kavya, daughter of Rajkumar Vishwakarma, sent a WhatsApp audio message to her cousin Aarti in Pipariya, informing her that her father and brother had been murdered. Aarti, having seen the message hours later, panicked and informed the police. The police arrived to find a sealed home but broken into via a gas cutter across the back door. Inside, the team discovered two bodies: Rajkumar Vishwakarma wrapped in the kitchen and his son Tanishk inside the fridge.

A Final Message and the Absence of the Third Family Member

With two out of three family members found dead, Kavya was missing. This sparked the investigation into the double homicide. CCTV footage from the railway colony where they lived showed Kavya and a boy leaving on a scooter, leading police on a chase across multiple transport hubs.

Kavya Headed Towards a Yellow Bus

The CCTV trail continued with Kavya and a boy boarding a yellow bus, changing buses multiple times, indicative of an attempt to mislead police.

An Elaborate Escape, a Dark Romance Unraveled

The chase reveals a twisted love story between Kavya and Mukul, entangled with family drama and a chilling premeditated double murder. Kavya's teenage love led her to orchestrate a plot with boyfriend Mukul against her father, who opposed their relationship, and tragically, her brother became collateral damage in their twisted plan.

New CCTV footage shows Mukul on the night of the murder with a cylinder, cutter, and gloves within the colony, indicating premeditation.

A Fresh Start Away from Home

The couple seeks to live independently at an unknown location, with Mukul possibly in search of work, as seen in his departure with his educational certifications.

The Capture of the Conspirators

As the investigation unveils the motive and conspiracy, only the arrest of Kavya and Mukul remains pending; their last known sighting was in Pune.

Using a Gas Cutter – A Sign of Premeditation

Second Angle to the Murder Story

An alternative theory suggests Kavya was compelled and coerced, not an equal accomplice, but both views raise questions that only their capture will answer.

Is This Double Murder Inspired by a Movie?

Police investigations have uncovered a crime strangely mimicking crime thrillers, suggesting Mukul planned the murders to resemble a movie plot, leaving behind tell-tale signs from film-inspired strategies. From abandoning mobile phones to switching vehicles, their attempt to outwit law enforcement parallels typical crime film narratives.
