The BJP has announced 15 candidates from rajasthan for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The party released its first list at 6 PM in Delhi. Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's son Dushyant Singh has been granted a ticket once again. Two leaders who switched from Congress have also been given candidature. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will run from Kota. Post-announcement, he expressed his gratitude to the party's central leadership.
Vasundhara Raje's son Dushyant Singh received a ticket from the Jhalawar-Baran seat. He is the sitting MP from this seat. In addition, Mahendrajit Malviya and Jyoti Mirdha, who previously left Congress, have been allotted tickets from Banswara and Nagaur respectively.
BJP Distances Itself from Controversial Figures
It has been noted that the party is distancing itself from controversial figures in Rajasthan. Ranjeeta Koli, the MP from Bharatpur, has been dropped. Devendra Jhajharia replaces Rahul Kaswan, making his political debut. The party has shown confidence in winning candidates and hence the tickets to two former Congress leaders. For example, the first list focuses on potential victors.

Four Central Ministers from Rajasthan Get Tickets
The BJP's initial list includes tickets for four central ministers from Rajasthan. Minister of Law Arjun Ram Meghwal will contest from Bikaner. Other ministers include Water Power Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat from Jodhpur, Minister of State for Agriculture Kailash Chaudhary from Barmer, and Minister of Environment and Forest Bhupender Singh from Alwar who was appointed minister through the Rajya Sabha.
Om Birla to Contest from Kota
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla is set to contest from Kota. Paralympic athlete Devendra Jhajharia will represent Churu, with Swami Sumedhanand Saraswati from Sikar and PP Chaudhary from Pali. Ramsuroop Koli from Bharatpur, Lumbaram Chaudhary from Jalore, and Mannalal Rawat have been chosen by the party for the Udaipur seat.
In the Previous Election, NDA Won All Seats
BJP candidate and state president CP Joshi will be fielded from Chittorgarh. Rajasthan has 25 Lok Sabha seats, and in the 2019 election, all seats were won by the NDA led by BJP with 24 candidates securing victory. One seat went to the candidate of the National Democratic Party which later distanced itself from the NDA.
