In the heart of Madhya Pradesh's Mandla district, two notorious female Naxalites with bounties of 1.4 million INR each have been neutralized in a daring encounter with law enforcement on Wednesday morning. The operation yielded significant recoveries, including a self-loading rifle (SLR), a basic rifle, a wireless communication set, and various everyday items. Security forces continue their strategic sweep for remaining Naxalite operatives.

The state’s Director General of Police (DGP), Kailash Makwana, confirmed a bold clash occurred in the Bichhia police station area. During this tactical engagement, the two infamous female Maoists, part of the MMC (Madhya Pradesh-Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh) Zone's Kanha Bhoramdeo (KB) Division, were decisively eliminated.

Following intelligence on Maoist presence within the dense Mundidadar-Ganeridadar-Parsatola forest region of Kanha National Park, security personnel swiftly launched a search mission. The Maoists responded with indiscriminate gunfire intending to harm the forces. A well-coordinated counterstrike by the security officials led to the elimination of the uniform-clad female Maoists.

One of the slain Naxalites was identified as Mamta, alias Rambai, a member of the Area Committee, ACM. She hailed from Murkudi in the jurisdiction of Karochi Police Station, Gadchiroli district, Maharashtra, and was the wife of SZCM Rakesh Ody of the KB Division. Her rifle was among the recovered items.

The other was recognized as ACM Pramila, alias Mase Mandavi, aligned with the Bhoramdeo Area Committee. Originating from Paligudhem, under the Chintalnar police station in Sukma district, Chhattisgarh, an SLR was confiscated from her. This marks the first instance in the state within a mere month and a half where six Maoists have been killed in two separate encounters.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav acknowledged the substantial bounties on both Naxalites.
