The central government has recently made an important decision allowing Pakistani passport holders who traveled to Pakistan to return to India. This provides relief to the hundreds who were caught in the recent conflict during their travel to Pakistan.

Asma, a citizen of Pakistan married in India, expressed her gratitude for this decision. She shared with Aaj Tak, "I went to Pakistan in February to meet my family and was stuck there. Thanks to the Indian government’s move, I am ecstatic to be returning to India."

Great Relief for Pakistani Residents in India

This relief is crucial for Pakistani citizens residing in India who were currently in Pakistan. Now, due to this decision, they can reunite with their families back in India. Asma stated, "This is tremendously relieving because many Pakistani passport holders reside in India and can now return from Pakistan."

Over 1000 Indians Returned Home

According to government statistics, more than 1,000 Indian citizens have returned home from Pakistan via the Wagah Border in the past six days, while over 800 Pakistani citizens have also returned to their homes. At the Wagah Border, immigration processes are conducted with thorough checks by both the Pakistan Rangers and the Indian BSF, who verify documents before granting entry.

115 Indians Back in India

The recent decision by the center is particularly beneficial for those with long-term visas, who faced significant challenges due to these circumstances. On Sunday, 236 Pakistanis left India to return home while 115 Indian citizens also returned to India.
