A shocking revelation has surfaced regarding the alleged assault on Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal inside Delhi Chief Minister's residence. AAP leader Sanjay Singh has reported that CM Arvind Kejriwal is aware of the incident and is determined to take severe action.
Sanjay Singh revealed that Swati Maliwal had visited CM Kejriwal on Monday. While waiting in the drawing room, Vibhav Kumar arrived and reportedly mistreated Swati Maliwal.
Previously on Monday, Delhi Police had informed that Swati Maliwal went to the Civil Lines police station and alleged that a member of CM Kejriwal's personal staff had assaulted her inside the CM house.
However, Swati Maliwal has not yet filed a formal complaint. The police have stated that they will proceed with the investigation once a complaint is made.
At the heart of this entire controversy stands Vibhav Kumar, accused of assaulting Swati Maliwal. Vibhav Kumar is believed to be a close associate of Arvind Kejriwal. During Kejriwal's imprisonment in Tihar Jail over the alleged liquor scam, he had listed six individuals he wished to meet, including Vibhav Kumar's name.
Who is Vibhav Kumar?
Vibhav Kumar and Arvind Kejriwal have shared years of camaraderie. A report by The Print states that Vibhav Kumar and Arvind Kejriwal have been working together for many years. Vibhav was a video journalist by profession.
According to the report, 'India Against Corruption' published a magazine, for which Vibhav used to edit videos. This organization led a significant anti-corruption movement in 2011.
Over time, their friendship deepened, with Vibhav Kumar reportedly controlling Kejriwal's daily schedule, earning him the reputation of Kejriwal's 'right hand.'
It is said that during the 2014 general elections when Kejriwal was traveling to Punjab and developed a toothache, Kumar promptly arranged food so he could take medication.

Often in the Limelight
Vibhav Kumar, who serves as PA to Arvind Kejriwal, is often in the media spotlight. Just last month, the Vigilance Department terminated his appointment.
He was appointed Kejriwal's Personal Secretary (PS) in 2015, and upon AAP's return to power in 2020, he was reappointed.
At the center of attention is also a criminal case against Vibhav Kumar. In 2007, Mahesh Pal, an employee at the Noida Development Authority, filed a case against Kumar for verbal abuse and threats. The Vigilance Department, last month, declared his appointment void, stating that no inquiry into the existing criminal cases against him had been conducted beforehand.
Previously, on April 8, the ED had also interrogated him in connection with an alleged liquor scam, recording his statement under the money laundering laws.
Controversy Surrounding His Bungalow
Vibhav Kumar has also drawn attention regarding his government bungalow. Last year, the Vigilance Department ordered the PWD to cancel his allotment of a Type-6 bungalow. There were claims of rules being violated during the allocation.
Located in Delhi's Civil Lines, this bungalow was allotted to Vibhav Kumar in March 2021.
Six months ago, PWD issued a notice to cancel the bungalow's allotment. However, he did not vacate the premises. Last month, when the Vigilance Department dismissed him, PWD requested him to vacate the bungalow within a month.
