Akash Anand, the nephew of BSP chief Mayawati, has made a dynamic return to the center stage of politics. Following a high-level meeting on Sunday, Akash has been appointed as the Chief National Coordinator, a pivotal role within the party. He will lead a team of three national coordinators. Prior to today's meeting, Akash was seen closely accompanying Mayawati.

According to sources, Akash Anand will spearhead the party's campaign strategy in upcoming elections. The BSP has currently appointed three National Coordinators, with Akash Anand poised to oversee them as the Chief National Coordinator.

The appointed National Coordinators include Rajya Sabha MP Ramji Gautam, Randhir Beniwal, and Rajaram. Ramji Gautam is also responsible for the party's operations in Bihar. Akash Anand's increased political responsibilities are perceived as a surge of new energy within the party.

Strengthening the Party for Upcoming Elections

BSP insiders believe Akash Anand's new role will fortify the party in the forthcoming elections. As a principal strategist, Akash will advocate for BSP's policies in electoral rallies, lending a youthful vigor to leadership.

Akash Anand has long been associated with the party and is seen as a young, energetic leader. His enhanced role not only signals youthful leadership but also solidifies his position as a trusted aide of Mayawati.

Akash's Past Exit from BSP

Previously, Mayawati expelled Akash Anand and his father-in-law Ashok Siddharth citing alleged indiscipline. Yet, just a month later, in a dramatic twist, Mayawati decided to reinstate Akash, announcing his return to the organization.

On April 13, Akash publicly apologized on social media, acknowledging his mistakes and expressing a commitment to align with Mayawati's leadership. He vowed to seek no political counsel from relatives or advisors, considering Mayawati his sole political guide and role model.

Akash appealed to Mayawati for pardon and a renewed opportunity to serve BSP, promising to avoid future missteps.

Mayawati's 'Second Chance' to Akash

Subsequently, Mayawati declared on social media that Akash would be given another chance. She cited his public apology, commitment to respect seniors, and dedication to BSP and the movement. Nonetheless, she emphasized that the question of appointing a successor was not currently being considered.
