The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have asserted that they dismantled over 2,000 Hezbollah military targets and eliminated approximately 250 Hezbollah fighters in just four days. According to the IDF, the Hezbollah leaders taken down include five battalion commanders, ten company commanders, and six platoon commanders.

Furthermore, the IDF stated that the Israeli Air Force is conducting precautionary strikes in southern Lebanon as part of intelligence-driven operations. In a post on social media platform X, the IDF remarked, "Over the last four days, the IDF has neutralized more than 2,000 military targets and 250 Hezbollah terrorists, including 5 battalion commanders, 10 company commanders, and 6 platoon commanders."

In another communication, the IDF detailed a 24-hour operation in southern Lebanon, revealing that during precise intelligence-led raids, IDF soldiers discovered rocket launcher ammunition, anti-tank missiles, and rockets inside a residential house. Additionally, dozens of weapons intended to strike Israeli territory, including anti-tank missiles, firearms, and explosive devices, were found in various buildings and homes.

The Israeli Defense Forces shared an update indicating that "for the first time in almost two months, sirens are sounding in southern Israel." This follows the launch of hundreds of missiles by Iran against Israel just days ago. In response, Israel is considering its options following Iran’s ballistic missile offensive.

According to Al Jazeera, Iran stated that approximately 180 ballistic missiles were fired at Israel in retaliation for the assassination of senior leaders from Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The country is facing conflict on two fronts with Iran-backed Hezbollah striking from the north and Hamas attacking from the southern border.

The long-standing Israel-Palestine conflict erupted into bloodshed when, on October 7, 2023, Palestinian Hamas militants launched an incursion into Israel, killing 1,200 people and taking approximately 250 hostages. In retaliation, the Israeli strikes on Gaza resulted in over 41,000 Palestinian deaths, as reported by the Gaza Health Ministry. The near-total displacement of Gaza's population ensued, leading to a food crisis and accusations against Israel of committing genocide.
