A unique case has come to light from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh, where a couple cleverly deceived people by promising an anti-aging miracle for seniors with a machine allegedly sourced from Israeli technology. They proclaimed this machine could make a 60-year-old appear 25 again. Many fell for this, investing lakhs with hopes of reversing time. Yet, neither a real machine nor refunds have surfaced, prompting police action against the couple.

Victim Abhishek Mishra shared his experience, stating how the couple pitched an extraordinary Israeli-based therapy, promising youthfulness through their purportedly high-tech machine.

This machine was said to cost around 250 million rupees, offering a 60-day therapy transforming seniors to appear two to three decades younger. Enthused by these claims, numerous individuals provided the couple substantial amounts of money.

Abhishek recounted how the couple convinced patrons that due to the machine's demand, appointments were filling up for four years straight, sparking rush and hefty deposits. He personally invested six lakh rupees and informed relatives, who too contributed significantly for advance therapy bookings.

The couple claimed the therapy was reasonably priced at first, predicting a steep price increase soon. Initial offers were quoted at 90,000 rupees, surging to 2.5 lakh rupees imminently. Small demo packages were also presented, featuring hyperbaric oxygen therapy and hydrotherapy for just 6,000 rupees, meant to introduce this enticing technology experience.

To enhance credibility, further tempting offers came in, igniting curiosity, leading many to advance book. Unfortunately, when therapy seekers arrived, what they found was not the promoted Israeli machine but a seemingly locally assembled contraption. Upon requesting proof and documents, the couple evaded answers, raising red flags. Abhishek and others then realized the machine’s staggering price of 250 million rupees was a hoax, as it was cheaply constructed and utterly fake.

Another victim, Prakash Yadav, described the moment of realization—upon seeing merely a tanker-like contraption with chairs, suspicion arose. Persistent questioning yielded no concrete responses, instead unveiling the truth of being conned. Doubts solidified when internal mishaps, like powder discharges and minor explosions, confirmed hazards, sparking alarm.

As awareness spread, victims, totaling over 1,200, discovered their collective fraud, accounting to nearly 350 million rupees. Despite demanding refunds, victims like Renu Singh, who invested 18 lakh rupees anticipating miraculous transformation for her family elders, received no restitutions.

Renu narrated her enduring hope and submissions for her family, including advance bookings, but neither therapies nor refunds were fulfilled, despite repeated appeals. Increasing frustrations arose as family obligations pressured financial recovery, prompting legal action.

A determined investigation by Kanpur police ignited upon victims lodging complaints, spearheaded by Renu Singh, who bore escalating domestic pressures from demanding relatives. Her decisive FIR filing marked a pivotal legal advance towards the apprehension of fraudsters.

Another victim, Dharmendra, conveyed his loss—one lakh rupees and extensive referrals to peers regarding the groundbreaking therapy. Disappointment replaced excitement upon witnessing the substandard local machine, dispelling any notions of authentic Israeli technology. Consequently, disappointment morphed into assertive demands for refunds, yet their pleas were unmet as the defrauders vanished.

Months of buildup ensued as victims surrendered substantial sums under false promises.
