With fish sparking national political discourse, West Bengal's Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has sharpened her barbs against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP with this gilled symbol.

Linking fish to the essence of Bengal has become a new strategy for Mamata Banerjee, as she uses it to challenge the BJP's sway.

At a Cooch Behar rally, Banerjee humorously remarked, 'The BJP might soon urge us to pair cow urine with morning tea, and cow dung with our lunch. Are they to govern our dietary choices now?'

Additionally, the 'Mother, Land, and People' mantra of the Trinamool Congress now incorporates an additional 'M', standing for 'Maach', which signifies fish.

The latest buzz has been a viral video of Tejashwi Yadav, Bihar's ex-Deputy CM, seen savoring fish with VIP party chief Mukesh Sahni. Uploaded on April 9 but filmed the day prior, the clip drew criticism from the BJP.

Striking at Tejashwi during Navratri, Prime Minister Modi questioned, 'Whose favor are you currying by showing this during a pious period?' He chided some for toying with people's emotions for amusement.
