Major Reconstruction Since the 2013 Disaster

He also stated that work on the master plan is underway in Lord Badrinath's courtyard. He referred to last year's challenges, explaining, "The Yatra was halted for 35 days. A major disaster struck the Kedarnath valley, blocking the Yatra at 29 locations. Numerous paths were obstructed, landslides occurred, and bridges were demolished. Yet, a record was set. Even then, 4,600,000 people visited the Char Dhams, which is a remarkable achievement," he noted.
Registrations from Across the Globe
During this time, he noted that the significance of the Char Dham Yatra has grown so much that millions have registered for their presence not only from the country but worldwide. CM Dhami endorsed the breadth of the Yatra, emphasizing, "Rishikesh is the land of sages, and Uttarakhand as a whole is Devbhoomi."
