Former Chief Minister of Manipur, Nongthombam Biren Singh, has penned a letter to the governor seeking the acceleration and continuation of the process to identify and deport illegal immigrants from Bangladesh and Myanmar. He lauded the Ministry of Home Affairs for their swift guidelines issued to achieve this within 30 days and presented the governor with documents related to illegal immigrants identified in 2021.
