The suspects reportedly played a role in the murder of Ramgopal Mishra during the Bahraich violence incident. Witnesses and videos from the time of the event show several individuals, including those on Abdul Hamid's rooftop, where Ramgopal was later shot.

Genesis of the Bahraich Violence

It all began in the Hardi police station area of Bahraich, when Ramgopal Mishra, a local resident, participated in a procession for the Durga idol immersion on Sunday around 6 PM. Tensions flared when the procession passed through a neighborhood, leading to disputes between two groups. Allegedly, stones were hurled from rooftops, inducing panic among the participants. Amidst the chaos, Ramgopal was fatally shot from a rooftop.

Upon receiving the grim news of Ramgopal's death, unrest erupted in the Maharajganj town, with enraged protestors damaging vehicles and setting fires, including at the suspects' residence. The violence continued into the next day, necessitating the deployment of a heavy police force under the observation of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Currently, the situation has calmed and is under control.

Further investigation into the incident continues to determine the root cause and capture all involved in the violence.
