The protest movement by farmers in Greater Noida is gaining momentum as thousands, under the leadership of the United Farmers Front, have once again congregated outside the Greater Noida Authority office to voice their various demands in a mega assembly. The gathering has attracted a massive crowd of protesting farmers.

This protest revolves primarily around the demands for 10% developed plots, increased compensation, and addressing other standing issues. Notable leaders, including Rakesh Tikait and representatives from more than half a dozen farmer organizations, have lent their support to this cause. Organized under the banner of the United Farmers Front, the meeting drew thousands of participants, reflecting the collective resolve of the farming community to persist until their grievances are addressed.

Security Measures: Deployment of 700 Police Officers

In response to the mega meeting, a comprehensive security arrangement has been implemented around the Greater Noida Authority. Approximately 700 police officers have been deployed, and two battalions of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) are also present on site. The administration is taking all necessary steps to maintain law and order. However, the farmer organizations have vowed that their struggle will continue until their demands are fulfilled.

Farmer Leaders Warn of Escalating Protests

As of now, there has been no official response from the authority regarding the protest. Nonetheless, administrative officials are urging demonstrators to maintain peace. During the mega meeting, farmer leaders issued a clear ultimatum: if their demands are not promptly met, the protests will escalate. They emphasized their determination to persist in their fight for justice.
