An astounding incident unfolded at Jayprakash Park in Munger, under the Kotwali police jurisdiction. A romantic drama between a brother-in-law and sister-in-law escalated into a knife attack. As the woman strolled through the park with her husband's cousin, her husband arrived and, upon seeing them together, launched a knife attack on his cousin. During this altercation, the husband was also injured. Both parties have been hospitalized by the police.
According to sources, the injured young man hails from the area of Walipur under Jamalpur's police jurisdiction. It is reported that the 22-year-old has been romantically involved with his brother’s wife for several months. The couple visited Jayprakash Park in Munger to spend some time together. On discovering the rendezvous, the woman’s husband went looking for her and ended up at the park.
Upon arriving, he found his wife with his cousin, leading to a surge of anger. The husband attacked his cousin with a knife, inflicting serious wounds to his cousin's chest, cheek, and leg. Additionally, the husband sustained injuries during the brawl. On receiving news of the incident, police swiftly arrived to de-escalate the situation, transporting both injured individuals to Sadar Hospital for medical treatment.

In an interview, the woman expressed that while they were merely out for a walk in the park, her husband injured his cousin with a knife. At this point, the brother-in-law urged the woman to keep quiet, citing the incident as a family matter. The woman, a mother to two sons and a daughter, refrained from further comment in her husband's presence.
Dr. Harshvardhan from Sadar Hospital confirmed the familial discord, mentioning severe injuries sustained by one of the cousins and the need for reference to higher medical care. The entire episode stems from the romantic involvement of the sister-in-law and brother-in-law. Despite the police's offer to file a case, the involved family members chose to handle the matter privately.
