Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while addressing the 'Unity March' and collective 'Vande Mataram' event in Gorakhpur, emphasized that those opposing Vande Mataram are disrespecting India's unity and integrity. He remarked that such individuals follow the same mindset that planted the seeds of the country's partition.

CM Yogi's Strong Reaction on Vande Mataram Opposition

According to news agency reports, the Chief Minister stated, 'We still expect that every individual living in India will remain loyal to the country and strengthen its unity.' Without naming a Samajwadi Party MP, he mentioned that even during the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram, voices of opposition were raised.

Yogi Adityanath commented, 'These are the same people who do not attend programs on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s anniversary but participate in events honoring individuals like Muhammad Ali Jinnah.' He questioned which direction the country would head if it doesn't honor its national heroes.

Conspiracy to Divide Society: CM Yogi

The Chief Minister noted that whenever opposition to Vande Mataram arises in the country, it fuels separatism and terrorism. He added that forces aiming to divide the country are still active today, with conspiracies afoot to partition society based on caste, region, or language.

Prevent the Rise of a New Jinnah: Yogi Adityanath

Yogi Adityanath urged people to identify these divisive elements to ensure that no new Jinnah can arise in India. He said, 'If anyone challenges the unity of the country, we must eradicate such ideologies.' The Chief Minister explained that opposition to Vande Mataram began in 1923, during a Congress session, initiated by Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
