Avadh Ojha's Political Aspirations from Uttar Pradesh

Avadh Ojha has previously hinted his interest in entering politics. There were speculations of him contesting in this year's Lok Sabha elections. Due to not receiving tickets from major political factions, he could not participate in the electoral combat. Originally, Avadh aimed to contest the elections as a BJP candidate from Uttar Pradesh, particularly eyeing a ticket from Prayagraj. When this plan didn't materialize, he revised his strategy. Meanwhile, there were also rumors of Congress considering him as a candidate from Amethi. However, he has now officially joined the Aam Aadmi Party.

Born in Uttar Pradesh's Gonda district, Avadh Ojha had a mother who was a lawyer and a father employed as a government postmaster. His initial education was at Fatima School, Gonda. Despite his parents' hopes of him becoming a doctor, Avadh dreamed of passing the UPSC (IAS) examination to serve the nation.

After completing his schooling, Avadh Ojha moved to Prayagraj for higher studies, where he first heard about the UPSC examination and decided to build a career in this field. His journey wasn't easy. After failing his first UPSC attempt, he faced dismay from his parents. Nevertheless, Avadh didn't give up; he persevered with dedication and continued studying fervently.

Following his initial UPSC failures, Avadh resolved not to seek a job but instead established his coaching enterprise. During an interview, he shared that, "After being asked to leave home, I got an opportunity to teach history at a coaching center, even though I had little idea how to teach. Despite this, I began teaching and over time, students grew fond of my style." Thus began his coaching odyssey and in 2005, he founded a UPSC coaching institute in Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi.

Throughout Avadh Ojha's life, he endured numerous hardships. There was a time when he had no financial support, struggling to cover rent and household expenses. Despite being married and bearing added responsibilities, he refused to surrender. For seven months, he juggled bartending at night and tutoring during daylight. This challenging period became the turning point of his life as he steadily gained recognition. This adversity marked a significant milestone in his journey.
