Shatrughan Sinha, a Member of Parliament from Trinamool Congress (TMC), took a jab at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday by labeling him as the 'Minister of Propaganda'. He commented that PM Modi spends 10 to 12 hours daily on promotions. Actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha was participating in a campaign rally in support of AAP candidate Atishi.
TMC and AAP are allies in the opposition INDIA Bloc. Taking a dig at PM Modi, Sinha said, "Our respectable Minister of Propaganda, by which I mean the Prime Minister, is my friend and my Prime Minister. It is said that he works 18 hours a day, yet I find him dedicating 10 to 12 hours to promotional activities. Be it a councilor, a legislator, or parliamentary elections, wherever you look, our honorable Prime Minister is always there.
Shatrughan Sinha Reminds of PM's Promises
The TMC MP referenced Modi's past electoral promises like creating two crore jobs, doubling farmers' income, and depositing 15 lakh rupees into each person's bank account, alleging that these promises remain unfulfilled.
Addressing the rally, he said, "Farmers' income, once 32 rupees a day, has dwindled to 27 rupees. How will they eat? How will they support their families? You understand this better than others."

'I Am Not Reading From a Teleprompter...'
Shatrughan Sinha claimed that before the 2021 assembly elections, the Prime Minister mocked West Bengal's Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, but the public gave him a fitting reply, re-elevating Mamata Banerjee to power. "What I am saying comes straight from the heart. I am not reading from a teleprompter."
Mocking PM Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' radio program, Sinha said, "I am not delivering 'Mann Ki Baat'. People are tired of 'Mann Ki Baat'. I am sharing with you my 'Dil Ki Baat'. According to my 'Dil Ki Baat', Atishi is a deserving candidate."
Praising the Chief Minister of Delhi, he stated that her victory is certain as Arvind Kejriwal's efforts have gained national and global acclaim.
