The serene landscapes of Churu in Rajasthan were disrupted by an alarming case of camel smuggling. Acting on a tip-off, an alert police team swiftly arrived at the scene and apprehended two suspects. Among the evidence was a truck brimming with camels, shedding light on an illicit trade. The police have now registered the case and initiated legal proceedings.
According to reports, the case hails from the district of Churu, specifically from the town of Ratangarh. A truck journeying from the Hanumangarh district towards Uttar Pradesh was intercepted after authorities were informed of its illegal cargo. With camels densely packed within, the truck drove attention as police rapidly organized checkpoints along the highway.

The very moment the truck reached the highway, law enforcement halted it for an inspection. Within the vehicle, a total of 14 camels were discovered, leading to their liberation from the clutches of the smugglers. The driver and the helper were promptly arrested, thanks to the decisive intervention of the local vigilant group. With the truck seized, the police are now pursuing comprehensive legal actions.
The Journey to Slaughterhouse Averted
The police revealed details of an unsettling scene involving 14 camels being transported from Hanumangarh by a 34-year-old named Samun and his 42-year-old accomplice Ansar, both from Haryana, towards a slaughterhouse. Upon learning of this distressing situation, the vigilant group promptly notified law enforcement agencies. This led police units to converge on Hudera Phanta, along a mega-highway, to conduct further checks. During inquiries related to the truck’s permits, the driver failed to produce any documentation, prompting police to detain both suspects and confiscate the vehicle for further investigation.
