Baba Siddiqui Murder Case: Concerns of Attacks on Arrested Accused, Mumbai Police Tighten Security

In Mumbai, the police are taking special precautions regarding the security of the accused arrested in the NCP leader Baba Siddiqui's murder case. Suspecting a potential attack in court, the police have made thorough security arrangements to prevent any possible assault.

It is pertinent to note that Baba Siddiqui, a former minister and NCP leader, was shot dead outside his office. Shortly after this incident, the police arrested two shooters, Karnail Singh and Dharmraj Kashyap. Karnail hails from Haryana, while Dharmraj is from Uttar Pradesh.

The third accused has been identified as Shiv Kumar, who is a resident of UP. Investigations have revealed that these shooters were given a contract for this murder. Following the arrest of the two shooters, the police are coordinating with Haryana and Uttar Pradesh police to trace their backgrounds and gang affiliations.

Enhanced Security Arrangements in Court

The police have suspicions that the arrested accused might be attacked during court hearings. With this threat in mind, Mumbai Police has taken additional security measures.

The police believe that enhancing security is essential to prevent any violence or unpleasant incidents during judiciary proceedings. The number of police officers deployed in the court premises has been increased, and thorough checks are being conducted on everyone entering and leaving.

Apart from Mumbai Police, Haryana and UP Police are also conducting their investigations into this case. Haryana Police's STF is gathering information about Gurmel Baljeet Singh, while UP Police is investigating the criminal records of Dharmraj Kashyap. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the third accused who is currently on the run.
